Community ​Housing Program 

Offers help with activities of daily living in apartment buildings for older low- to moderate-income residents.​

Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) 

MDOA regulates CCRCs, which offer older adults various levels of housing and care without leaving the community campus as health needs change over time.​

Senior Assisted Living Subsidy Program

The Senior Assisted Living Subsidy Program helps low- to moderate-income adults age 62 years and older pay for assisted living programs they would otherwise ​be unable to afford.

Help for Older Marylanders Experiencing Housing Instability and Homelessness

25% of people experiencing homelessness are over the age of 55, and the population of people age 65 and older who will experience homelessness is forecasted to triple
by the year 2030. Learn about ACIS (Assistance in Community Integration Services), an initiative of the State of Maryland’s Medicaid 1115 demonstration waiver known as Health Choice. ACIS serves high-risk, high-utilizing Medicaid participants who are at risk of institutional placement or homelessness. Download the flyer here.​
