​​National Make a Will Month highlights the critical importance of preparing for the future. This month, individuals are urged to take proactive steps in creating a will, ensuring that their assets are distributed according to their wishes and providing peace of mind for themselves and their loved ones. To simplify this process, the National Council on Aging, in partnership with FreeWill, offers a comprehensive, step-by-step guide for drafting a legally binding will. By visiting FreeWill, individuals can utilize a user-friendly and cost-free platform to create their wills, making this essential planning task more accessible than ever.

National Healthcare Decisions Day

April 16th marks National Healt​hcare Decisions Day (NHDD). Organized by the Conversation Project​, NHDD is a day to inspire, educate, and empower the public and providers about the importance of advance care planning. NHDD reminds us to express our wishes regarding healthcare to family, providers, and facilities, while bringing awareness to the importance of Advance Directives and Living Wills.
