This year's National Healthcare Decision Week
This year's theme is "It always seems too early, until it's too late."
During the week of April 16th plan ahead for health care decisions related to end of life care and medical decision-making whenever patients are unable to speak for themselves. Advance directives and living wills can help communicate these important healthcare decisions.

- Wednesday: Family, Friends, and Loved Ones
- A day to discuss your wishes with others (and learn their wishes)

- A day to tell others that you've engaged in advance care planning and encourage them to
do the same
- Friday: Focusing on Facilities
- A day for healthcare providers of all sorts to promote advance care planning
- Saturday: Professional Preparedness
- A day to ensure that all professionals understand and can promote advance care planning
- Sunday: Reflection and Readiness
- Consider what you've learned during NHDD week and share your experience with others
